Brothers United

Brothers United

Brothers United is a collaborative HIV prevention program designed to reduce health disparities related to HIV disease in greatly impacted communities. The initiative works to reduce new HIV infections, increase access to care, and promote healthy equity among African American and Latino men, inclusive of men who have sex with men (MSM)  and high risk heterosexual men and their sex partners.

Brothers United offers the following components:

  • Engages targeted communities through promotion, outreach, and recruitment
  • Conducts HIV testing
  • Provides services to individuals who have tested HIV positive (including connections to supportive services, i.e. ARTAS)
  • Provides HIV prevention services to individuals who have tested negative (including offering evidence-based intervention, i.e. PCC)
  • Provides condoms to a minimum of 1000 individuals annually
