> Green Job Training Program

The Hispanic Family Center is recruiting, preparing, and training qualified candidates to fill green jobs in the Southern New Jersey area. Enrollment in the eight week Green Jobs Training Program at HFC offers a path to the following careers in Energy Efficiency:Air Sealer/Insulator, Building Analyst, Energy Rater, Comprehensive Home Energy Auditor, and Energy Efficiency Assistant.

The training program includes:
- Hands-on vocational skills and work site training
- General math and verbal skills
- OSHA workplace safety training
- Internship placement with an industry partner
- Environmental awareness
- Life skills
- Financial management
- Job readiness

Program Requirements:
- Be at least 20 years of age or older
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Pass the Test for Adult Basic Education at the 7th grade level
- Must undergo a criminal background check
- Remain drug free throughout the entire program and submit to drug testing
- Demonstrate a legitimate interest in pursuing a career in the targeted industries.
