Mildred Mendez, MSM
Mildred Mendez is the Program Director for the Family Resource Center and Health Education Unit at the Hispanic Family Center. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Adelphi University and a Master of Science degree in Management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Ms. Mendez has extensive social services experience including the development and oversight of youth alternative education initiatives, vocational training, violence reduction initiatives, and residential shelter management. Additionally, she has implemented strategic plans, created policies and procedures, and has extensive fiduciary experience.
In her role at HFC, Ms. Mendez oversees and monitors all programs and grants within the Family Resource & Health Education Unit, trains staff in – and conducts – interventions, conducts Unit quality assurance, prepares grants and renewal packets, and ensures program compliance.
